MEDIUM PRESSURE STATIONARY ACETYLENE GENERATOR

The Acetylene generator is pneumatically controlled by Pressure switches and highly sensitive sensors; integral with the control instruments performs all operations. Generator is fitted with two hydraulic pumps & two hydraulic Cylinders which control the feeding of calcium Carbide to the generator tank through screw feed conveyor automatically. The screw feed mechanism and the agitators are operated by flameproof motors and fittings. The entire operation is perfectly synchronized to achieve maximum efficiency and simplicity in operation. (Only flame proof lights & electrical fittings according to 152148-68 (group II) or 655-229 may be used in an Acetylene plant manufacturing. ACETYLENE COMPRESSOR

Normal Ingersoll Rand make Reciprocating Piston type, Oil Lubricated Water Submerged with Safety Valves, Pressure Gauges, Moisture Separators, and Flame Proof Motor confirming to IS: 2148-68 (Gr. II-B) with Pulley, V-Belts, and Belt Guard Pneumatically Pressure controlled. All three stages of the Compressor are provided with Pressure gauges to monitor the inter-stage pressure.

LOW PRESSURE DRIER

Vertical Steel Vessel fitted with Half Circle perforated M.S. Plates fitted with One Change Hydrous Calcium Chloride.

ACETYLENE PURIFIER

Large Vessel divided into two sections by wire mesh Frame work. The inside of Vessel is coated by special anti corrosive paint as anti – corrosive measure. Each Section is charged with Purifying Mass to absorb Gases like Hydrogen Sulphide, Phosgene etc

AMMONIA SCRUBBER

Vertical Vessel fitted with Level Gauge and Water Make up Line. The Acetylene Gas is bubbled in the Vessel to Scrub Water Soluble impurities like Ammonia & to facilitate compression of Acetylene Gas by making it wet.

HIGH PRESSURE DRIERS

Filled with Anhydrous Calcium Chloride and with Non- Return Valve and Pressure Regulating Valve . It consists Of Two columns. The first column is fitted with M.S. Chain Packing to avoid any void. The second columns are fitted with two capsules and are fitted with a drain valve to drain off moisture collected at periodically.
